    Mr. Mel Velasco Velarde, Chairman of the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication and the NOW Group, recognized the role of SB19 in promoting Philippine music and culture by dedicating vignettes or portions of the historic Murillo Velarde 1734 Map to each member of the P-Pop group. 

    “This commemorative map, a testament to our history, symbolizes the courage to embark [on] new journeys—where Filipino pride, resilience, and ingenuity shine brightly for the world to see,” said Velarde. 

    SB19 is the first P-Pop group to receive the commemorative Murillo Velarde 1734 Map.
