  • Mr. Mel Velasco Velarde, Chairman of the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication and NOW Group, awarded the official replica of the Murillo Velarde 1734 Map to then Philippine Air Force (PAF) chief Lt. Gen. Rozzano D. Briguez on On August 25, 2017.

     

    The awarding ceremony was attended by members of PAF through the Office of Historical and Cultural Activities.

     

    The replica of the map is currently on display in the PAF Aerospace Museum in Pasay, Manila.
