MASTER OF ARTS IN COMMUNICATION PROGRAM
The Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC) Graduate School offers the Master of Arts in Communication Program for professionals involved in all aspects of communication and how this field improves the lives of citizens in the society.
This Master of Arts in Communication program aims to describe the various ways through which communication is channeled: information dissemination and education, behavior change, social marketing, social mobilization, media advocacy, communication for social change and community participation.
The MA in Communication program enhances the student's capacity to use mainstream and new media in communicating within and outside the organization.
The program caters to professionals in information technology, business management, education, and other fields where communication is of critical importance.
The program challenges the traditional concept of graduate education through innovative and pioneering courses, learning approaches, and teaching methods. It uses the blended learning mode of instruction. It also provides students with practical and relevant education through their involvement in AIJC’s research projects and
networking with partners.
Among the Institute’s professors are well-known academics, communication specialists, and ICT experts.
AIJC’s programs are ladderized, enabling the student to earn certificates while moving toward the masters’ degree:
• First 15 units – Graduate Certificate
• Second 12 units – Graduate Diploma
• Final 12 units – Masters’ Degree
AIJC graduates are encouraged to explore emerging career paths, such as design of distance education, development of multimedia learning materials, change management, crisis communication, media entrepreneurship, and knowledge management.
Your degree will also be useful if you are a market researcher, a multimedia specialist, a Public relations officer, a science writer, an advertising copywriter, or a Digital copywriter. You can be a political risk analyst, a web content manager, or a magazine publisher or writer, among so many other challenging and exciting professions.
